Frequently Asked Questions
🐴 Endeavour Park – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Lessons & Bookings
Q: How do I book a lesson?
A: You can book directly online through our booking system, or send us a message if you’d like help. Some sessions (like last-minute availability or private lessons) may need to be booked by contacting us directly.
Q: What types of lessons do you offer?
A: We offer group lessons, private lessons, semi-private sessions, Pony Play Groups, and NDIS-supported programs. Riders of all levels are welcome – from complete beginners to advanced.
Q: What should I wear for my lesson?
A: Riders must wear long pants (jeans or jodhpurs) and enclosed shoes with a small heel (no sneakers or sandals). Helmets are required – you’re welcome to bring your own, or we can provide one.
Q: What happens if it rains or the weather is bad?
A: Safety comes first. If the weather makes riding unsafe, we will contact you and reschedule or provide a credit for your booking.
Q: Do you have age limits for lessons?
A: Children can start lessons from around 2.5 years old (lead-rein lessons) through to adults of all ages.
NDIS & Therapy Programs
Q: Do you accept NDIS participants?
A: Yes! We support NDIS clients through both skill development and social groups. Sessions are tailored to each participant’s needs and goals.
Q: How do I arrange NDIS sessions?
A: Please get in touch with us directly. We’ll discuss your goals and help organise a program that suits your plan and funding.
About the Horses
Q: What kind of horses do you have?
A: Our herd includes ponies and horses of all sizes, breeds, and personalities – from gentle lead-rein ponies to experienced schoolmasters. Each horse is carefully chosen for their temperament and love of teaching.
Q: Will I ride the same horse each lesson?
A: We try to match riders with horses that best suit their ability and personality. While you may not always ride the same horse, many of our riders do develop favourites over time!
Safety & General Info
Q: Do I need experience to ride at Endeavour Park?
A: Not at all! We welcome complete beginners right through to experienced riders.
Q: Is horse riding safe?
A: Riding always carries some risks, but our staff are highly experienced, our horses are well-trained, and we follow strict safety guidelines to make lessons as safe as possible.
Q: Can parents stay and watch?
A: Absolutely! We love having families and friends cheer on their riders. We just ask that spectators stay in designated areas for safety and to not teach from the sidelines.
Q: Where are you located?
A: We are based in Oakdale, NSW. Full address and directions are available on our Contact page.
