BIRTHDAY PARTIES
& ADULT GROUPS
Why not have your next birthday
party at Endeavour Park!
Your party includes one hour of horse riding,
and each child will have a helper to lead them if they are a beginner
or feeling nervous. For the younger kids and beginners, they will
go on a very quiet trail ride, walking only. The more experienced
or confident riders will ride in one of our arenas, participating
in games on horseback, going at paces suitable for their skill
level. Again, all riders will have helpers if needed.
Whilst at Endeavour Park, you are welcome to use any of our facilities,
including bbq, swimming pool, and enjoying our treed lawn area.
We can arrange all your party-food needs, or we have plenty of
fridge space for any cakes/food that you might like to bring,
and a microwave for heating food, You can set up on our large
under-cover table, or pick a special spot on our treed lawn.
If your party is in the afternoon, everyone may like to help
feed our horses by travelling on the hay trailer, which is always
lots of fun (min age 8yo). Our tractor usually sets off at around
4pm.
Cost: $30 per rider (minimum of $100)

HORSEMANSHIP TRAINING DAYS
focusing on understanding horse behaviour
If you would like to understand more about why horses behave the
way they do, or want to learn how to be more effective in the
way you handle a horse, this day is for you.
We will work on general horse handling and on identifying particular
areas of concern for our participants. We will start with "ground
work" (unmounted), such as putting on the halter or bridle,
leading, and improving the horse's "manner" when you
are around him. We will then progress to asking for specific tasks,
such as picking up his feet, lungeing, long reining or free jumping.
For those who want to ride, the amount & level of riding will
depend on each person's needs, working on improving the rider's
balance and effectiveness, as well as a better understanding or
horse behaviour in an effort to be able to prevent those "scary
moments" we all have. We will have various groups throughout
the day of 1 ½ hours each, tailored to each participant's
experience and goals. You may use one of our reliable school horses,
or bring your own. If you don't have a float, transport for your
horse can be arranged.
Cost is $60 to use one of our horses, or $40 if you bring your
own.
